Reporting to the Manager of Business Applications, the SAP Professional is responsible for supporting SAP R/3 SD, WM and CRM modules as well as other non-SAP applications integrating with SAP. As such, the SAP Professional is to ensure that the company maximizes its efficiencies through the effective and combined synergies of all business applications, systems, and streamlined business processes, with a strong emphasis on SAP. Developing new projects to either extend the systems or improve on their current designs is a key component along with challenging the business requirements and providing recommendations and solutions in the best interest of the company.

Analysis: (45%)

• Facilitate sessions in order to find creative solutions to business challenges and collaborate with the team, business process owners, business analysts, key users, and/or management.
• Evaluate end-user improvement opportunities and business needs, promote best practices in SAP, process and people-based solutions in order to drive business benefits.
• Ensure reliable functionality and improvements by performing & approving impact analysis.
• Analyse technical impacts and requirements of SAP system enhancements for Analyst/Programmers.
• Apply new SAP system configuration changes in production.
• Understand business processes and coordinate the support of non-SAP Applications and how they integrate with SAP.

Supervision: (35%)

• Review the quality of work of Analyst/Programmers, assigned stagiers & consulting resources, with respect to SAP and other non-SAP applications, to ensure that it meets the required solution specifications.
• Coach & train Analyst/Programmers to effectively provide 2nd level application support to Functional Analysts and Business Process Experts (Including troubleshooting, bug fixing, etc.).
• Plan and manage small to medium-sized projects (evaluate timelines, efforts, costs & benefits).
• Ensure that the project benefits are fully realized and communicated.
• Ensure follow-up for assigned projects.
• Review programming, documentation and testing results to ensure consistent quality according to defined standards.
• Coordinate SAP and non-SAP application activities (maintenance, upgrades, etc.) with the other teams.

Communication: (20%)

• Provide guidance & recommendations on business processes & application functionality to Business Process experts, Business Process Owners, and management.
• Actively contribute to business process improvement sessions by recommending creative solutions.
• Lead business process improvement sessions with Business Process experts and/or business owners by structuring meetings and setting objectives for obtaining the desired process improvements.
• Prepare monthly project status reports.

• Bachelors Degree in Information systems (or equivalent) and SAP accreditation.
• A minimum of 7 years application experience in MIS (or in an equivalent business function).
• Successful SAP application implementation and configuration experience
• 5 years SAP experience in the SD and WM modules
• Experience in SAP modules MM and CRM is a definite asset
• Solid operational and production support experience is a definite asset
• Experience in a leadership role with demonstrated capability to work in a team.
• 5 years experience working with large corporate applications.
• Prior IT consulting experience is a definite asset
• Candidates with a management accreditation are highly values (ex: MBA, PMP, CA)
