Reporting to the IT Development Manager or the Lead Technical Business Analyst, the Technical Business Analyst will :
- Play an integral role at actively participating at the systems development and operations, baseline and project support.
- Work very closely with all internal and external teams including external IT suppliers and possibly Client partners during either the development process or the problem resolution process.
- Be familiar and understand the Client operation and development framework.
- Act as the single point of contact for specific user requirements within and possibly without his/her area of responsibility.
- Understand the business objectives and priorities to then identify and provide technology solutions and services which will improve and/or sustain the business operations.
- Responsible to document high quality UBR (Understanding of Business Requirements) and / or Functional Specifications.
- Assess the impact of the business initiatives on existing systems and initiate required changes to suppliers (internal & external).
- Regularly perform system health checks.
- Perform ad-hoc problems analysis and resolution support to the Operations.
- Require a solid degree of technical proficiency to determine the appropriate technology to meet business needs although role does not involve computer programming except for database and sequential file queries.
- Focus on optimizing IT investments by managing expectations and priorities by proposing cost effective alternatives and by promoting re-usability of the IT assets.
